Puerto de la Cruz
Discover Puerto de la Cruz
Puerto de la Cruz is located on the north of the island of Tenerife, in the valley of La Orotava. With 8.73 km2 in size, it is the smallest town in the Canary Islands. Its altitude is just 29.5 feet above sea level and its highest point is the volcanic cone of Las Arenas (also known as Montaña de la Horca), at 817 ft.
The climate is extremely moderate and soft throughout the year, without great oscillations between maximum and minimum temperatures.
The streets of Puerto de la Cruz are lively all year long, with a casual atmosphere that welcomes relaxation and rest, a walk on the seafront promenade and discovering its traditional houses…
The coastline, like everywhere else in the north of Tenerife, is full of cliffs, especially in the locations of Punta Brava and Martiánez.
To enjoy the sea, Puerto de la Cruz has plenty to offer: attractive coves of volcanic sand, the Martiánez Lake seawater pools complex, Playa Jardín and Punta Brava.
Costa Martiánez, a work by the great César Manrique, constitutes a place where design and nature come together to create a setting of unique beauty.
